Henry Jackson Society exposes Saudi funding of extremism as May sits on UK Government report

Foreign funding for extremism in Britain primarily comes from Saudi Arabia, according to the right wing but reputable and rigorous Henry Jackson Society (HJS). Their report, “Foreign Funded Islamist Extremism in the UK”, has embarrassed May’s government which is presently sitting on its  own report into foreign funding of terrorism.

The Home Office-led report was completed six months ago, and No 10 says ministers are still deciding whether to publish. MPs nervous of upsetting strategic relations in the Gulf have also decided not to publish a separate Foreign Office strategy paper on the region.

It’s the big issue in international jihadi funding and everyone on earth has to pretend it doesn’t exist because we’d be back to horse and cart overnight if we ever refused to deal with SA.
Props for not dismissing HJS on tribal grounds. Little touches like that are a good sign.
