From Anna Wolmuth:

Hi all,

Hopefully you already know about the Remploy workers’ strikes (at sites across the country) this Thursday 19th and next Thursday 26th July 6am-6am the next day (Unite and GMB) – in response to the government’s plan to shut 27 factories.

Here is some more info from Disabled People Against the Cuts: http://www.dpac.uk.net/2012/07/disabled-people-support-remploy-strikes-despite-government-announcement-to-close-27-factories/

Here are some details specifically about joining the Barking demo: http://www.dpac.uk.net/2012/07/support-the-barking-remploy-strike-on-thursday/

Please spread the word about supporting the picket lines. Here’s a travel tip for the Barking factory: Remploy factory is in Long Reach Road, south of A13, can be reached via 387 bus from Barking Station to Movers Lane, Creekmouth Industrial Estate.

Cheers,
Anna
.
From Unite:- Following a ballot, Unite and GMB members will be taking action on 19th and 26th July against the proposed closure of 54 factories
