Our last Galloway post for now – promise!

April 11, 2012 at 12:24 am (apologists and collaborators, Asshole, Beyond parody, Galloway, gay, islamism, Jim D, religious right, stalinism, thuggery, twat)

I guess that regular readers will have worked out by now that ‘Shiraz’ is not a George Galloway fan site. Unfortunately Mr Galloway has wormed his way back into mainstream politics and will soon be taking up his seat in parliament. We shall be watching him with our usual eagle eye.

In the meantime, I suspect that most readers have had enough of Mr Galloway, so I promise not to even mention him for at least one week.

Meanwhile, here is the twat, coming over like the ignorant, arrogant, fascistic arse he is; this really is worth viewing, believe me:

It’s all a fucking conspiracy. Get the cunt a job on Fox. He and Glenn Beck are made for each other.

As with all things galloway – you should appropriately file in the Arts & Hentertainment section anything to do with him.

You will of course understand if the AWL are banned from all things Respect given the vile nature of the comments Jim Denham makes and encourages here. I think it is good that the AWL is at last starting to self-exclude from the labour movement as it moves ever rightward. It is a bit like Israel building its physical walls and now self-boycotting by banning Gunther Grass.

    • Martin Ohr said,

David Ellis, I’m surprised that you feel that the “labour movement is moving ever rightward”; while I wouldn’t disagree, I’m keen to see you evidence for this.

“the AWL is at last starting to self-exclude from the labour movement as it moves ever rightward”
There’s an ambiguity, and so by the Denham Corollary you are free to put the most stupid interpretation of what he wrote, but I would imagine any neutral observer would conclude that David meant that the AWL is moving ever rightward, though how he thinks it finds the room he’ll have to explain himself.

      • Martin Ohr said,

Skidmarx, never heard of the Denham Colliery, which section do they play in?

I think a neutral observer would consider that a trot group like AWL is to the left of the ‘labour movement’ in general so the only reading of the sentence which makes sense is that it is the labour movement moving to the right, further away from the AWL. A normal person would regard anyone such as David Ellis who believes the AWL are right-ist to be completely f.cking mental

      • skidmarx said,

A normal person would regard anyone who believes the AWL to be completely f.cking mental to be completely right.

The Denham Colliery would be the one with the scabs.

What a fucking Assad/syria/Iran stooge Galloway is. Is he still licking Nasrallah’s arse? becAuse Hassan Nassrallah and Hezbollah are in a terrible bind:

and it seems to me that GeoRGE GallOWAY is in a similar state. what a corrupt little wannabe napolean piece of shit.

And It wasn’t so long ago he was praising Musharaff’s military rule as much more reliable than ‘nasty’ democractic government. So much for all that guff about ‘springs’ and shit from him.

Another thing, …Does Galloway still claim to be a Fatah supporter? because it seems he’s swallowed the Hamas Charter as well. The “Foreigners in Jerusalem” stuff, pointedly not East Jerusalem. Seems to me to be a call to a cull…

  6. Clive said,

Surely, in your analogy, you’re the one who’s like the one imposing the ban. Or is your logic just too dialectical for me?

  7. Jim Denham said,

RestJust/ Mr Ellis: since when did Respect have anything do do with the “labour movement”?

  8. Faster Pussycat Miaow! Miaow! Miaow! said,

Remind us again where all of the RESPECT councillors in that London defected to – Lib Dummies and Tory scum wasn’t it? Nothing unexpected about that – that’s the social layer from whence businessmen and other self-appointed “community leaders” emanate.

  9. Emma Goldman said,

Isn’t Sean Matgamna a company director?

    • Faster Pussycat Miaow Miaow Miaow! said,

I really have no idea. I don’t live in the UK, I have never met (to my knowledge) a member of the AWL, let alone clapped eyes on Sean Matgamna, or heard his voice, or been appraised of his personal affairs.

      • Emma Goldman said,

        He is.

As an aside I see Daniel Pipes has had another outburst:

Will this loosen Jimbo’s attachment to the Denham Formulation?

In my opinion, none of the people you mention are racists

No, of course not. It’s what he does.

  11. Jim Denham said,

So-called “Emma Goldman” (a disgrace to that good name, btw) dares trill: “Isn’t Sean Matgamna a company director?”

That asinine “point” has already been answered and dealt with. If that’s the best you can come up with, “Emma” then I suggest you fuck off and die.

    • skidmarx said,

Can you remind us what the answer is to :

“Isn’t Sean Matgamna a company director?”

A simple yes or no will suffice.

      • Clive said,

Are you really buying into this as an argument? I’ve seen some appalling lower-than-you-could-imagine shit in these ‘debates’, but this takes the biscuit. Do you suppose Sean Matgamna is *wealthy*? I can’t imagine living my whole life on the sort of poverty wages that he has lived. His whole life. By choice. You’re obviously free to disagree with the man, or for that matter, if you know him, to dislike him. But for god’s sake.

  12. Matthew Blott said,

    Priceless, I’m still laughing.

  13. Jim Denham said,

Skidiot/Horton: I’ve already answered your fellow liar and antisemite “Emma Goldman”, when he had the lying effrontery to try to compare Matgamna with that tax-dodging scumbag Livingstone, thus:

“Livingstone is a wealthy man using a tax dodge to further his own personal wealth. Matgamna is, by any UK standards, a poor man who lives a frugal lifestyle and who has arranged his affairs in order to help fund a revolutionary socialist organisation. A pretty fundamental difference to anyone capable of a moment’s thought.”

Now bugger off, Horton and don’t come back.

    • Faster Pussycat Miaow Miaow Miaow! said,

Imagine the SWP meetings when cadres were informed of the political lash-up with RESPECT.

Some of the more politically astute comrades may have pointed out that the petit bourgeoises with which the SWP was about to enter into a popular front, with were exploiters, screwing their poor constituents, only to be told ‘shut the fuck up!’ and instructed if they heard anyone else raise the same point, to immediately denounce them as racists.

That the internal contradictions were too much to bear is borne out by Richard Seymour’s publically expressed relief when he was no longer required to bullshit on behalf of the popular front.

    • Emma Goldman said,

I never said he was a successful businessman. He’s obviously a failure at that too. My point is that I don’t see how it’s OK to dodge taxes as long as the money saved goes towards a failed revolutionary party.

      • Boleyn Ali said,

Tax dodging, the AWL – priceless. Think of all the hospitals that could have been built. Shame you all.

      • Monsuer Jelly est Formidable said,

if only the AWL had paid heir taxes then the little baby jesus could have been born in a proper hotel and not a stable.

      • Boleyn Ali said,

It makes me cry when I think of what those tax dodgers at the AWL did to little baby jesus, and think of all the orphans too

  14. Jim Denham said,

Yes, Seymour wrote “thank fuck I no longer have to defend him” over at his Tomb after Galloway shafted the SWP back in 2007.

But the line seems to have changed again now: Seymour’s hailing Galloway’s “historic victory” and Galloway’s to be an honoured guest at ‘Marxism’ this year:
    http://leninology.blogspot.com/2012/04/galloway-to-speak-at-marxism.html

The Central Committee’s explanations to the poor bloody SWP infantry for these contortions must be wondrous.

I wonder if Mr Galloway’s in kiss-and-make up mode? Or ‘I’ll shaft’em again in my own good time’ mode.

Maybe Galloway’s turned on by political masochists.

  15. Boleyn Ali said,

Lots of knee jerk, glory chasing, seeking the main electoral chance, shite going on a Numans Place. All dressed up as “realignment of the left”, “opportunity opening left of Labout” and “socialist unity”.

I think Galloway makes a fair point here actually. If you went undercover in any pub in Britain, or any workplace you would hear the most disgusting violent and racist attitudes to Muslims. I remember being in a pub in Sheffield and a number of lads were discussing how ‘we’ should just bomb all the’ sand niggers’ with nukes (during the Iraq war). This is pretty common speak.

I think Galloway was correct to say this was a deliberate attack on an already beleaguered people, it was designed to play on the fear of the other. What makes it potentially dangerous is that it unites far right, liberals and ‘decent’ and other left in the same way Galloway does. In fact I think it is the fact that Galloway is linked to Muslims that unties the far right, liberals and ‘decent’ left in their hatred of him. All these groups have a definite problem with our Muslim brothers and sisters.

I think this came out in the same year as Littlejohn’s dissertation on anti Semitism, which could have been penned by the AWL. A well known foul mouthed bigot making a programme lambasting bigotry – strange days indeed!

I noticed the far right becoming far more nuanced in their racism during the noughties. Recently I have heard hard core far rightists use the attack on Jews in France to support their anti Muslim hatred. The tendency is to think the far right are just stupid knuckleheads but they can be more subtle than people give them credit for (well at least in polite society). Though, of course, the Nazi’s were very subtle in their racism against Jews also, as well as being crude. I remember reading an article in the Guardian that mentioned the Nazi’s said Jews had monopolised in Germany jobs in banking and law and the article gave the fact that a very high proportion of lawyers in Germany were Jews!

The Muslims are the new Jews indeed!

  22. Jim Denham said,

SteveH: you are indeed very, very stupid. Who was it defended the Muslims of Bosnia and Kosova? Not Galloway or the SWP.

Who is attempting to re-introduce communalistic politics to Britain (politics that would prove disastrous for Muslims)? Galloway.

Yes, I know that Labour has also cap[itulated to its own brand of communalism in wards with large Muslim populations, which is shameful. But Galloway’s entire party is based upon communalism.

  23. SteveH said,

You lot use stupid so liberally I think it has no meaning.

The fact is that you call Galloway a fascist but your opinions very much reflect the all new far right. You contribute to the shit infested pond that the far right swim in. Galloway steadfastly stands against the far right, as they actually exist in the real world. ou know this because they detest him almost as much as you lot do! This is the reason why Galloway is lauded by Muslims and why you would be detested. Now let us turn to a subject you *seem* to have a huge interest in, internationalism. Galloway’s noble efforts and links with Muslims will prove invaluable in any international workers movement. Your despicable politics would sour any international organisation, because you basically lack respect for anyone who falls outside you narrow sectarian view.

  24. Jim Denham said,

“you call Galloway a fascist”: no! Read what I’ve written, please. I wrote “fascistic”. An important distinction. Actually, I think the nearest historicaal equivalent is Peron, also “fascistic”, but not a fascist.

“Galloway’s noble efforts and links with Muslims”: like his grovelling before Saddam and Assad, opposition to the NATO operations in defence of Muslims in Bosnia and Kosova, or his denunciation of Iraqi trades unionists, or support for the hanging of Iranian gays?

Yup: I think “stupid” is, indeed the apposite word. As opposed to “evil.”

  27. SteveH said,

p.s. if we are using the fascistic label so liberally then you clearly are fascistic also. Just like with stupid and anti semitism, you make the word fascistic almost meaningless. Just another cheap insult.

    Great work comrade!
